Hanging on for the ride

I am holding on for a new career adventure!I’ve been knocked down before and learned to get back up, stronger and smarter.I usually dust myself off with plenty of help and then keep going. Pictures from the Ranch Rodeo’s Mutton Busting at the 90th Tri-County Fair in Wishek, North Dakota this past weekend. Aren’t these kids brave? They reminded me…

I never knew of the FFA organization as a student. But my husband Nathan was a FFA member. Now we raise a next generation of FFA members. Together in June we attended the 87th annual State FFA convention in Fargo, N.D. to attend a banquet with our FFA member son Hunter, my parents, friends and many FFA supporters. It was our…

Nathan and I helped move Hunter to the University of North Dakota yesterday. It’s a new chapter. Summer school and football workouts happen this week and then this weekend it’s the Lions All-Star Class B basketball practice for Hunter with eleven other boys. They play the Class A boys in Fargo on July 11 and in Bismarck July 12. After the…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
