Citrus Spice Grilled Chicken

Filed Under: Proteins, Recipes Tagged With: BBQ, cooking, grilling, hunk of meat Monday, meat, protein 3 Comments

It’s grilling season. Pick up a package of chicken and use this mix of citrus and spicy marinade and get grilling.  We enjoyed this chicken this past weekend while camping. I served it with an Asian chopped salad (love salad mixes in a bag!) and sweet potatoes, roasted over the campfire, served on a fancy foam plate. There are only…

Camping bliss

Filed Under: Life in North Dakota Tagged With: camping, North Dakota, prairie life 2 Comments

We had a slice of camping bliss, North Dakota prairie style this past weekend. Miss E’s favorite part? Hawaiian punch and s’mores.  Miss A’s favorite part was roasting hot dogs with Daddy. Camping has been an acquired activity for me. It came with love and marriage. My husband loves to fish. Therefore, my husband love to camp and fish. It…

It’s routine scenery for those of us who live on the North Dakota prairie but I recognize its beauty and uniqueness. These horses have been the subject to few photos stops over the past few weeks. The…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
