Live from St. Louis

Today as my colleagues and I exited the board room we are working from in St. Louis, I noticed a tremendous amount of policemen in our hotel lobby including bomb sniffing dogs circling me. Then I saw a man in a business suit holding a three ring binder with the label “CHENEY” on it. I asked the policeman at at…

New hiding spot

Eldon, my father in law, made a fantastic shelf that swings up out of a large cupboard and locks for my mixer. And Elizabeth discovered the cupboard when empty is a fantastic hiding spot and place to play. She can figure how to get into things but not get out/down. After falling out of it twice onto the ceramic floor…

I provide ingredients, overall direction–and clean up. But a majority of the cooking/baking is done by Hunter. It is a fun time together…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
