4 hotels in 6 nights? Another Hard Travelin’ Week

Filed Under: Motivated Moms Tagged With: family, travel, working mom Leave a Comment

This week I am embarking on a week of hard travelin’ which is a path I have done many times before in my career. However in the next 72 hours I will “experience” 7 flights, 5 airports and 3 hotels. Plus the hotel we’ll stay in for Hunter’s basketball tournament this weekend. Chalk that up to 4 hotels in a 6…

Anika Iris, 7 months

Today Anika Iris is 7 months old. She won’t sit still for very long to take her monthly picture next to her “hop hop” bunny. But as you can see she is growing quickly and definitely looks like her daddy. Her eyes are no longer blue. They cannot decide if they are going to be blue-green or hazel. The head…

Our how we met story…coming soon

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: family, love story, marriage 3 Comments

Some of our non-commenting readers are intrigued and interested in how Nathan and I met. The story where two independent, not seeking a relationship, business travelers accidentally met on a Monday morning, were engaged eight months later, married seven months after that, left corporate America to return to a family business, sold a couple of houses, moved with our son to…

I don’t talk much about my professional work on this blog. But at times my work life and personal life very much intersect. We live on the prairie, in the heartland…

At our house, Daddy has an every other night routine with the girls. It is bathtime! He has his routine and the girls know it well…and love their Daddy bathtime. And after bathtime, it is snacks and then books. Anika no longer just sits back and watches as E reads with Daddy. Instead, she is right in there trying to…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
