Spreading Christmas Cheer On The Prairie

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: family, family fun, holidays 1 Comment

2010 has been an exhausting year yet it has been a exhilarating year for both our personal and professional lives.  We decided to toast and celebrate our 2010 and spread some Christmas cheer this year with our small business contractors by having them come to our house this afternoon.  After my last business trip of the year, I deplaned entering…

My mom has appropriately named Miss E as the GriggsDakota Farm Inspector.  This is a role that our 3 year old daughter takes seriously. Last night while giving Anika a snack I walked over to get Miss E from the living room where I thought she was playing with her baby doll “Ava” and I wanted her to come have her…

Now I Know Canola Oil Farmers & Olive Oil Farmers

Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

Canola oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil are all familiar to me.  I live on the prairie surrounded by fields that often end up in canola, soybean or sunflower oil.  I know the farmers that raise those crops and while I am never seen the crushing and oil process, I trust it and know it comes from Bunge, ADM or Cargill…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
