Baby holding, Birthday Cake & Dress Up Day

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: birthdays, family, milestones 3 Comments

Miss E had her “low key” birthday celebration tonight. I had told her we weren’t having a big birthday bash since we just returned from a week at Disney World. She reminded me Anika got fireworks and a party at her birthday…which is slightly unfair since Miss A’s birthday is just days before our big July 4th celebration. However, I…

She arrived early and made her big brother’s dreams come true as well as Nathan’s and mine of course. Today she is proudly 4 years old. It doesn’t seem possible that time is going this fast. Miss E…

3 ways I am surviving December

Filed Under: Family Values, Motivated Moms Tagged With: family, holidays, working mom 6 Comments

How did December become so crazy? I love Christmas. My mom is Christmas Jane. At least I refer to her as that. She is the best entertainer of Christmas I know. I attempt to take on Christmas with her pizzazz but usually feel overwhelmed by it.  Even post vacation with a fairly clean house, thanks to my mom coming to…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
