So God Made A Farmer, Thank you Dodge.

It’s Superbowl Sunday. You must be celebrating whether you love football or not. After all, it’s a reason to get together with friends and…eat bacon wrapped goodies. Unfortunately, we missed the Superbowl Sunday memo and instead have received Stomach Flu Sunday at our house. Not ideal. First it was Miss A. Then it was Miss E. But tonight I turned…

Miss Anika’s Bedroom Makeover

Filed Under: Life in North Dakota, Motivated Moms Tagged With: bedroom makeover, décor, kids 9 Comments

Post by Kirsti–Katie’s favorite (and only) sister. Earlier this month I shared Miss Elissa’s bedroom makeover on my blog. Now it’s time for part two; Miss Anika’s restyled bedroom. Let’s start with the before images: As you can see, the nursery color scheme was yellow, red, white and black. As Anika grew and the room evolved to her bedroom, the…

Crock-Pot Pinto Bean & Ham Soup Recipe

It’s bitterly cold outside. Warming up inside with hearty soup is one of my winter strategies of coping with cold. I have made three soups in the last few days. One of them is a new Pinto Bean and Ham Crock-Pot recipe. I experimented and found success. Not only is this soup hearty, it’s healthy. I failed to take step-by-step…

Thank you to their music teacher, Mrs. Wolff for making this performance happen! I knew it was coming sometime this basketball season. But Hunter failed to…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
