Welcome 2014. A new year is as white and clean as the North Dakota prairie snow. A new year brings us cheer and new paths to journey. With the sunrise on a new day in a new year, I feel energy for a new day. With the sunset, I feel rest and renewal to keep going after big dreams with…

How To Skate With Confidence Into The New Year

Filed Under: Family Values, Motivated Moms Tagged With: family, motherhood, sharing your voice, why I blog, working mom 6 Comments

Our daughters were given new ice skates for Christmas. Then my mom quickly ordered them “trainers” to help the girls learn to skate with confidence. Even the trainer tool isn’t enough though at times. They still need their daddy as back-up. When I snapped these photos tonight, from the behind the lens, I realized skating with trainers and back-up encompassed…

It’s Christmas and one of my favorite times of the year, to prepare fun food and eat it all! I love entertaining with family and friends because of the laughs and memories we share together. Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
