Ice, Ice Baby

Filed Under: Life in North Dakota Tagged With: North Dakota weather, prairie life 8 Comments

While others are posting about gardens, daffodils and such Spring like things… I must share our ICE. Thankfully this ice has not taken down our power. And we can only hope that our prairie Spring sunshine will soon melt the ice…and snow, slowly to prevent flooding. Then we will share in glorious green grass, daffodils, tulips and Spring planting and…

The weatherman keeps repeating “the conveyor belt of snow is coming through North Dakota”. But this morning ahead of any snow, it was raining. Miss E decided there would be no more winter coats and hats at our house. She marched up to the closet where I had been storing new Spring rain coats for Miss A and her, ripping…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
