Our Christmas gift, Elizabeth Carolyn Jane all dressed up as Santa’s helper and even in her brother’s stocking!
Elissa is ready to go to Bismarck for one-week doctor’s visit on Dec. 17–her original due date. The doctor told us she was “perfect”–just what we wanted to hear.
First visit to the lumberyard to see Grandpa Eldon and Daddy on a warm and sunny Dec. 20th.
Hunter loves his evening snuggle time with Elissa.
We are getting excited for our family to come to visit for Christmas and to introduce Elissa to everyone. Auntie Lori arrives on Sunday afternoon with the Lukens and Huso clan driving from the farm on Christmas Day. Hunter and Elissa will have their uncles, aunts, grandparents and Great-Grandpa Sonny and Great-Grandma Nola all together for the holiday. It will definitely be a special time and sure to be great fun. Hunter has his church Christmas program on Christmas Eve and then we will all celebrate Christmas Day together at Eldon and Carol’s home.
Elissa is quite a content baby. She has sweet chubby cheeks now and is sleeping in longer increments at night. She is mesmerized by the Christmas tree lights when we rock in the nearby chair. And yesterday as you see by the above picture I dressed her up in her new Santa outfit and put her in Hunter’s stocking. While I thought it was adorable, she was not thrilled.
Nathan and I both stare at Elissa trying to find little things that resemble us. Such as the dimple in her chin definitely comes from her daddy and the dimples in her cheeks come from me! Big brother Hunter recognizes that Elissa and he share the same nose and it is looking more and more everyday like she will also have blue eyes.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas! We will update again soon with more pictures.

Hey Katie,
I haven’t checked this in awhile – but she’s absolutely precious. I look back and can’t even remember Cora being this tiny and it’s only been 5 months. Where does the time go? Baby C is eating cereal and running marathons in her walker – while she turns around to look at me and smile, then she’s off again. Little miss independent. I’m not ready for that. What happened to my cute little snuggly’ baby that doesn’t go anywhere? Hope your Xmas was wonderful!
