Behind The Lens

I learned photography basics on her ancestor.  Those were the semesters I spent taking every upper division liberal arts credit I could taking photography classes while finishing my degree. Her ancestor was a Canon Rebel G that I spent a small single mom fortune to purchase.  Then four years ago using sales reward points from his corporate career, my husband…

Bath Time On A Budget: Homemade Bath Bombs

Filed Under: Family Values, Motivated Moms Tagged With: budget, family fun, frugal, motherhood 2 Comments

My husband and I have spent a small fortune on “bath bombs” because our girls LOVE them at bath time. Most recently, we visited a Lush store last fall in Winnipeg and returned to the farm with a fresh supply of bath bombs of different sizes, shapes, colors and scents. After that shopping spree, I think I also promised myself to never…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
