Mom guilt: Working moms miss moments

Filed Under: Family Values, Motivated Moms Tagged With: being a mom, mommy guilt, motherhood, working mom 7 Comments

Working moms miss moments in our children’s life. I have been criticized for being a working mom. I have questioned being a working mom. I have embraced being a working mom. I have felt peace being a working mom. I have tried to find balance in being a working mom. Yesterday through the weekend, I am on my second out…

Picking Dandelions

Filed Under: America's Farm Table, Family Values Tagged With: agriculture, family, family farm 5 Comments

Miss A is almost three years old. She is her own independent girl now. On Monday, I took a day off from work. While Miss E was farming with Grandpa Fred, Miss A and I had some leisurely down time together. I captured her picking dandelions in my grandparent’s farm yard and swinging in their antique tree swing.  With her…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
