Even when things get broken…

Do you ever feel broken? But are unsure of what the problem is? You have pain but don’t know the source of it? You think you need a recharge but don’t know where to find it? I have felt a bit that way lately. Slightly broken, off center. Not sure of my direction always but knowing what needs to be…

Fall Fun Catch Up

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: family fun 4 Comments

Fall is in full force in our corner of the North Dakota prairie. With that our house exploded into winter this week for a day when the temperatures plummeted from 81F to below freezing in 48 hours.  I was not the only sad one about the change in the weather. Miss A shed tears. She is cold and she prefers…

Jennifer Livingston: saying no to bullying (video)

It is National Bullying Month. Leading by example is critical and today I was inspired by a LaCrosse, Wisconsin news anchor who stood up to a bully trying to take her down by an email addressing her weight and obesity. “Do not let your self worth by defined by bullies…the cruel words of one are nothing compared to the shouts…

I believe…(video) memorizing the FFA Creed

It’s an organization that our family believes in for our next generation…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
