Thursdays this month are for 100 mile one-way drives to gymnastics. Today a friend is driving but for the past two weeks I have driven. This all started with Miss A’s big idea. All she wanted to go was go to gymnastics this summer she said earlier this Spring. Easier said than done.  I know you probably have gymnastics in…

Let’s Keep Them Age Six Forever

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: family, kids, motherhood 2 Comments

I made the official motherhood proclamation this week that all little girls must stay age six. Forever.  They can graduate from kindergarten, lose their front tooth and then a bottom tooth and then just freeze frame right where they are.  Then forever, Miss E and I can go on road trips like we did this week. On Memorial Day, we…

Filed Under: Family Values, Life in North Dakota, Motivated Moms Tagged With: family, holidays, Mother's Day, motherhood, North Dakota 5 Comments

I was spoiled with love this weekend and extra special gifts from a homemade candy and cookies bouquet, homemade cards, apple trees, pear trees and rose bushes.  Over the past ten plus days, I have had some ongoing medical issues. It’s a long story for a different day. I’m going to be okay but on Friday afternoon Nathan went with…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
