Traffic, wineries & no laundry to do

On Saturday afternoon after a few long days of meetings, networking, entertaining prospective clients, eating too much food and gaining back those precious pounds I have been trying to lose, Nathan and I were able to get away for a few hours with friends Eric and Nicole to Temecula Valley. Eric is one of Nathan’s longtime friends from college. We…

Happy Birthday to my younger but not little sister

Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

Happy 23rd Birthday Kirsti! I remember March 7th, 1987 very well. It was the day I thought I was getting another brother and instead my dad surprised me when he called while we were eating supper with Grandma Nola at our house. He said that at 5:23PM my mom had a baby girl and I had a sister. I was…

I have had meetings for the past few days on the west coast. Nathan traveled with me and has enjoyed a vacation including deep sea fishing with a longtime friend of his along with some much needed down time.  It has been a flurry of meetings and social entertaining for me that Nathan has partaken in which includes food that…

Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

Between gifts from my mother, mother in law, grandma and sister in law…I have a kitchen with some great cooking tools and gadgets. They make our hectic life easier and food prep simplified.  One of our favorites is the pineapple corer which we used last night. Crank on the corer and you get all the juicy pineapple out in less…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
