Once we have been released of our winter purgatory on the prairie, our weekends are planned for five straight months.   Our weekdays are meticulously planned around daycare schedules, community commitments, Nathan’s rigorous business, my travel and business schedules combined with Hunter’s numerous…

First Steps On Father’s Day

In the midst our most busy weekend of the summer thus far, yesterday afternoon on Father’s Day while visiting 104 year old Great-Great Grand Aunt Iris, Anika Iris took her first solo steps.  She took a few steps to get to the three teddy bears. It was an exciting moment. Iris remembers my brother Joe also taking his first steps…

Please pray for this baby

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: faith, love, prayer, praying Leave a Comment

I follow a lot of blogs. If I get myself organized I will create a list of them in a column on this blog. For the time being, please keep baby Cohen in your prayers. I do not know this family but they need all of our prayers. http://www.inthiswonderfullife.com/2010/06/starting-dialysis.html

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
