Priceless Wedding Memories

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: family, sisters, wedding 2 Comments

While organizing photos for a few Christmas gifts I am creating…I started digging through folders from my sister, Kirsti and brother-in-law’s wedding earlier this year. There were so many snapshots I love that I never shared with you. A majority of these were taken by our resident family photographer, Dr. Keith who takes thousands of photos for us at weddings…

Working SuperMom Wednesday: Rest, Rhythm, Time & Happiness

Filed Under: Motivated Moms Tagged With: motherhood, Sabbath by Wayne Muller, supermom, working mom 2 Comments

Earlier this month, my friend Leah at Beyer Beware talked about working mom confessions and included the below blog hop from the Wannabe SuperMom. I was intrigued and started to wonder if I was, could be or should be SuperMom. Or was I just a Wannabe SuperMom? I decided I achieved moments of SuperMom status when I was a breastfeeding traveling…

7 Tips For Entertaining Teenagers

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: entertaining, taco bar, teenagers 2 Comments

Our teenager of the house had a big weekend of being awarded a “superior” rating his piano festival and by attending his first ever Sadie Hawkins dance. Prior to the dance, we invited his date and her brother and his date over to enjoy some food and fun. We were officially entertaining teens. From this experience, we gained a handful…

The Badge I Wear In The Depths Of Chaos

Filed Under: Motivated Moms Tagged With: working mom 5 Comments

Forgive me for being a distant via this blog.  It’s not you.  It’s me. It’s the chaos. I haven’t even downloaded photos from my camera since…last week? I don’t think that has happened in at least four years. Unless they came directly from my not-so-high quality Blackberry phone. Chaos I tell you. My son came walking down the stairs yesterday to announce…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
