Last weekend we had a less than 24 hour but much need Minnesota retreat at Auntie Lori’s house.
This is the serene and peaceful view that you wake to from her house each day. We will be back in a couple weeks for another visit and I know I will never tire of the view.
There are all sorts of things kids look forward to when visiting relatives. Special toys, games, etc.
But what is it our kids look forward to and love about Auntie Lori’s?
You get the real deal at Auntie Lori’s. It’s hands on life experience!
And at the intensity that our girls played with Doctor Lori’s medical “toys” we need to do a better job at saving for medical school.
We also better start saving for a baby grand piano too. First it will be Hunter’s and then soon after Miss E and A will both be playing.
First though…before the baby grand and medical school, if Auntie Lori can just teach me how to get my daughter to sit so sweetly and still while she brushes her hair and braids it we will be making progress!
This beauty of a french braid is quite a feat our Busy Bits who never sits still for more than 18 seconds…except for Auntie Lori of course.
Why am I blogging after midnight on a Saturday night you ask?
Oh I am just a mom (with my husband sitting right next to me) waiting for our son to return home from his first ever…gulp…Sadie Hawkins school dance.
More on that soon…
first he needs to get home!
