Wordless Wednesday w/ Linky: Gardening Success

Filed Under: America's Farm Table Tagged With: agriculture, gardening, growing crops 13 Comments

I found this empty bike with a basket full of our garden vegetables in it. The culprit of garden gathering wasn’t near but I suspected…

she was somewhere near the garden, hiding. I found the garden girl watching the neighbor bale hay across the road.

Despite my lack of attention to our summer vegetable garden, we are reaping the benefits now with fresh vegetables. Miss E even took my picture in our camper last Saturday after we husked corn on the cob for our camping birthday feast for our teenager’s 14th birthday.

The corn on the cob added to our lakeside camping summer feast with friends.

What fresh produce are you gathering from your garden, harvesting in fields, buying at your grocery store, farmer’s market or fruit truck?

Tomorrow I’ll share easy steps to can cherries that came from the cherries I bought from the fruit truck on the prairie. Today it’s Wordless or Wordy Wednesday. Link up below and be sure to visit other favorite Wordless Wednesday blogs, comment and share.

Sorry Katie. I didn’t mean to link up 3 times, but it kept telling me I had an error, so I didn’t realize it worked. If you can delete a couple of them, go right ahead.

I always love your Wednesaday posts!! What an adroable garden helper you have and it looks like you have a great garden!

Sadly, we cannot have a garden at our house – we live in the ‘burbs and our backyard does not get enough sun. We tried to grow some veggies last year and while they survived almost the whole season they did not get ANY bigger – in fact, I think they actually got smaller if that is possible!

But, we have a garden at my mom’s house and the boyfriend’s dad has a huge garden that we go shopping in every weekend. It is so nice to have so much fresh and delicious food!

Looks like the culprit was having a fun time in the garden!

First of all, you look way too young to have a 14-year-old!

The corn looks lovely! Love the hay bale picture.

@Dagmar I was WAY TOO YOUNG when I had my son 14 years ago but it all worked out perfectly in the end. The corn is so yummy that we eat a few cobs now every night.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
