Our first family photo…during Hunter’s league baseball tournament
While Hunter was pitching an intense, big game which they won in the semi-finals, Elissa was busy strolling her baby.

And Anika enjoyed her first day of baseball, napping!

Game recap
This has been challenging season because our team has a huge age and experience range but the team peaked at the tournament. Big wins early in the day led our team to the championship game.

Hunter had a cheering section of grandparents plus a busy sister, a sleeping sister and parents at the championship game. Our team lost but it was a perfect family day of baseball.

Hunter and Elizabeth are both looking so grown up in the picture of the two of them. I can’t believe how fast 12 years have gone.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
