Do you remember hearing about Storm Atlas in South Dakota just over a year ago? I was stuck in the snow in South Dakota for a few days in the Black Hills during that storm with fabulous South Dakota rural and ag women at their annual conference. We had no electricity, or heat but had the safety of a cozy…

Grow & Bloom with Insight from Nebraska’s Bonnie Schulz

Filed Under: Women In Ag Tagged With: 30 Days, family farm, Women in Ag 13 Comments

Who and what defines a “farm wife?” I’ve seen some loose debate and banter between women on this topic. I’ve never seen it between plumber’s wives. Or doctor’s wives. Or teacher’s husbands. But there are some real insecurities that have come out in social media about women, their roles and how to define their roles in agriculture. I think we…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
