Happy Sunday

We love Sundays. Dressing up two little girls for church is fun. But mostly the family time is wonderful.  E and I found a new dress in her closet for her to wear today. Thanks Mayme for those bargains you bring us. Elissa’s Sunday routine is to go to Nana and Gpa’s house after church. Today she came over with…

Sometimes there are aspects of our life that never reach this blog. It is not that they are not blog worthy, just that we don’t think to mention them. After all most often we show you pictures of our kids. But one day when I stopped into see Nathan at his office and saw our longtime family member taking a…

Remember when I was a practical mother of three?

Remember when I was a practical mother of three last summer? If you don’t…you can revisit this post when Nathan and I justified why we needed a minivan instead of a gas guzzling SUV. It was the most practical car buying decision we had ever made.  Until this arrived. It is a second year in a row of big snow on…

Do you see that Anika’s feet are blurred on this picture? The newest change at our home is that Anika is mobile. The restaurant is locally owned by a couple originally from Brazil. We had yummy Brazilian BBQ which is heavy on every type of meat, roasted on skewers over a wood fire. It was extraordinary…especially…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
