WW w/ linky: How to pick a pumpkin on the prairie

Filed Under: America's Farm Table, Life in North Dakota Tagged With: agriculture, family activities, North Dakota, prairie, pumpkin patch, rural life 15 Comments

Picking out a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch is an important job.  Agreeing on one is another issue between 2 year old and 3 1/2 year old sisters. Sometimes it is better to go on your separate ways and pick your own. Everyone is happier then. Thanks to Daddy and Auntie Lori for bringing on the girls to the Oakes, North…

Carhartt in my working mom wardrobe

Fall has set in and it’s jacket time on the prairie. I wait as long as possible to actually pull out winter coats. For a new fall jacket, I ordered Carhartt’s Women’s Sherpa Sweat Jacket when Carhartt offered to give each one of my…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
