Technology crash & burn with out enough coffee

In the world of hockey, this would be a hat trick as my friend pointed out to me. I’ve score three technology goals. Actually they are crashes and burns. So far this week, my iPhone has been smashed. My personal Mac Book Pro lap top crashed last night. Then this morning my desk top PC at work wouldn’t turn on with out “start up repair”. I reached out to techy friends on Twitter and Facebook and I think I might be able to fix my personal lap top where I do my blogging from most days. I do have the hard drive backed up and all photos but that might not be until tonight. So rather than fuss with technology today, I told my colleagues I need a rotary phone and a typewrite. And rather than try to fix any of this right now on my lunch break, I am going to go celebrate National Walk for Lunch Day. I’m going on a fresh air, sunny day walk with a colleague around the Capitol grounds.

Did mention that at 5:45AM when I went to get my first cup of coffee this morning before carpooling to Bismarck that the coffee grounds had plugged the coffee pot and it has run all over the counter, floor and cabinets? Oh and I forgot my purse today too. Thankfully I have my walking shoes.
I’m done with the technology hat trick and in for a walk. And I need more coffee. More coffee to get through this week and just “do the next thing” as my mom always has told me.

Wow! Technology I think has this invisible link that causes all crashes to happen at the same time. Coffee GOOD! Walkies GOOD! Smile – PRICELESS!

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
