Flowers, Cheers, Hugs & Prayers for Leontien

Filed Under: Family Values, Life in North Dakota Tagged With: friendship, girlfriends, North Dakota, prairie women, rural life 17 Comments

If I could send her fields of flowers that would heal my blogging friend from her cancer while bringing her the greatest of joys, I would.

But I don’t have healing power. But I am a part of an amazing blogging community that is reaching with blog posts of flowers and virtual hugs for Leontien of Four Leaf Clover Tales.

There are so many things that I could say. But instead I will simply share my prayer for you, Leontien. Because while I want to heal you, I can’t but I know God can.
Dear Jesus, if it is Your will, please heal Leontien. Please give her strength and peace during this time, give her happiness and joy, show Your plan for her. Please be with her medical team and guide them to fight this cancer and defeat it. Please allow Leontien to live an abundant and fruitful life as her dreams are big and she is shining example of what others can look up to in a modern day hero. Bless her Lord. Amen.

Tulips bring me hope and renewal in the spring. Tulips today also remind me of Leontien’s home country of the Netherlands. Today she is in Indiana. I am in North Dakota. But it’s our blogs that connect us all. There is an army of bloggers reaching out with arms wide open to give you hugs, encouragement and flowers today, Leontien. We are cheering for you and praying for your healing!
I am linking up with Nancy at Rural Journal where any reader or blogger also can post on your blog Flowers for Leontien and then share on Rural Journal. It will allow a central location for Leontien to see all the blog posts that have been done for her. Please consider posting a photo of a flower or flowers with any words of encouragement for Leontien. A special thank you to my blogging friend Theresa aka Texwisgirl for reaching out to me about this idea and blogging event for Leontien.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
