Playhouse on the porch

I’m an online shopper. As much as possible that I can have delivered to my door step that I do not have to go shop for in a store (which includes a long haul of driving to get anywhere to shop), the happier I am. I also have discovered to efficiently use our family business hardware store web site. I put my items into the “cart”, email my “cart” to my husband who places our business weekly order. My list usually includes Tide, Oxi-Clean and paper products with an occasional seasonal item or two. However a couple weeks ago I discovered this…
a perfect little play house for our porch.
Elissa learned that her daddy can put in an order for a play house on a Tuesday and by Thursday a semi-truck has delivered it and Daddy has put it together. Not only does he put it together on the porch, he plays in it and takes orders.
Elissa is talking on the phone and sending a letter above and giving Daddy tea below.
Daddy is the ultimate for playing “house”.

Pretend talking to her favorite phone mate, Mamey aka my mother.

Auntie Lori dashed to the play house when Elissa called “Aunt!” from the house. She needed help hanging up the phone. Even cool big brother Hunter now asks to go play on the porch in the “house” as Miss E calls it. Of course Hunter is just doing his big brother part, playing with his sister. He would never really think playing in a toddler play house is fun, at least he probably won’t admit it to you and certainly not have his mother photograph him in the play house.

We have the same one and also keep it on the porch. We’ve had it for three summers now with four kids and it still looks perfect! Good purchase Katie!

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
