Eight weeks old

Filed Under: Motivated Moms Tagged With: happy baby, kids, motherhood 1 Comment

Elissa is eight weeks old…and proudly wearing her Jamestown College Jimmies bib in honor of her Auntie Kirsti and Uncle Robbie who both go to school there.

Hunter giving his little sister a bottle for the first time today before church.

Elissa’s boyfriends, Kaden and Noah came to visit this weekend with their mom and dad/ our friends Karla and Josh along with our friend Sara. Kaden and Noah were giving Elissa goodbye kisses. All the attention put her to sleep. And Hunter is wearing his Cub Scouts uniform because he presented the flags last night at the home basketball game.

Elissa meets Sara for the first time. In a couple weeks, we are traveling to see Sara, Scott and Sam and then we are going on to visit Auntie Lori in Wausau. It will be an exciting get away and family road trip.

Happy girl in the morning

Ready for take off…Elissa is fully strapped into her swing and a tired girl.

Daddy and Elissa read in the evenings. She wasn’t thrilled about it this particular evening but after about the third time through the Mommy and me book, she was quite content.

Elissa says “I have curly hair just like my Grandpa Fred!”

8 weeks old already! Ahhh! Where has the time gone?? Cora would love to give E. pointers on sleeping through the night – but considering it took her 6 months and she’s still “iffy” at it, we’ll hold on the advice! We’re looking forward to meeting Baby E. soon! And I can’t believe you’re back to work in 4 weeks already. Wow.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
