“Great Auntie” Rennae meeting Elissa for the first time.

Elizabeth is four weeks old. And today rather than a “Mommy is 29 forever birthday party”, we had a “Elissa is 4 weeks old” party. Elissa met her new friend and cousin, Nevaeh, her daddy Mark and mommy Sami. Others guests included Nevaeh’s grandparents Don and Joan, Elissa’s great grandparents Oscar and Nola, Great uncle Jim, good friends Patti and Dana, Rennae, Keith, Paul, Eric, Uncles Robbie and Joe, Auntie Kirsti and boyfriend Mike, Mama Jane, Grandpa Fred, Brother Hunter plus Nathan and me. It was quite a party and Elissa was held by many as you can see by the above pictures. In the morning she was smiling for her Auntie Kirsti and you can see her dimples!

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
