A quick Christmas tour…

It is starting to look a lot like Christmas at our house this week. The girls have matching red snowman jammies, courtesy of Mama Jane and our UPS delivery driver. Although Elissa insists she wants a pink snowman along with the pink Christmas tree she has already ordered from Santa and sings a few words from Frosty the Snowman. I…

-50 wind chill and sisterly love

We have reached the season where I begin to blog about our cold winter weather. I just cannot help it this time of year. It is always a topic of conversation. Last night and this morning on the prairie we are experiencing somewhere between -35 to -50 below zero wind chill. Indeed it is true. The weather report is on every…

One pink Christmas tree

Santa Days, a local craft fair that allows children to go shopping for their parents was held on Saturday morning in our little town. Our church youth group also hosted a lunch and bake sale as fundraiser at the event. We took the girls for lunch and for their first ever meeting of “Santa Claus”. Elizabeth does not really know…

The other night as I was on the phone with my friend Beth, Miss E decided she was going to “Fahgo” to see “Bef”. She last…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
