107 years of life to celebrate

Filed Under: Life in North Dakota, Misc. Tagged With: milestones, prairie life 5 Comments

It’s a monumental day that will be quietly celebrated on the North Dakota prairie today. But you can join in…by honoring the oldest living woman I know.

She has been with me through all milestones in my life and even walked to the hospital 15 years ago to see me on the day I became a mother.

She was my pen pal as a child, has been a source of great wisdom and guidance to me, is the most faithful and generous woman I know and today we honor Iris. My mom’s tribute is the most beautiful with old photos of Iris. Visit GriggsDakota for 107 Years Old, Today.
While Iris won’t read this post I simply want to share to honor her, her legacy and I hope to grow old with the grace and dignity of Iris.

To know her is to love & admire her. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all be such a wonderful role model to others? One can only imagine what the world would look like!

Congratulations Iris, and have a wonderful day! Was wonderful to hear of her story, and I hope that I am half as blessed as she is.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
