There is a change in the game plan this week. I am not hosting a linky party for Wordless or Wordy Wednesday. It’s the first time in well over a year. I’ll be back again soon but just needed a blog change this week as the month wraps.
Change is good I have learned. Change forces you into a new place. My life has taken me on the road less traveled. It was not the road I had planned or dreamed of as a young girl. But I have learned to live boldly and to blaze my own trail down the road less traveled.
There have been pitfalls and mistakes on the road less traveled. I have been be deceived. I have failed. I have fallen. But through it all, along the road less traveled, I had met the most wonderful people whether it be in person or through social media. I learned from a former boss, “It’s okay if you fall, Katie. We’ll pick you back up, put on a Band-Aid on you and let you keep running. We won’t let you bleed to death.”
I have worn my share of Band-Aids of many forms. I have scars from the road less traveled. But I have kept going and felt the greatest sense of accomplishment in little and big ways by being willing to “keep running” as my former boss told me to do.
No matter where I am on the road less traveled, it’s the honest, kind people and the everlasting relationships I have made along the way that stay with me.
From time to time, I like to look back over my shoulder to remind me where I have come from as my past is a strong foundation. Mostly, I look ahead to what the road less traveled has in store for me.
Why am I writing this tonight? Because I realize not everyone’s road is easy or smooth. It is easy to get stuck from time to time and it is difficult to see what is ahead along the road of life. I have learned through trial and error that living boldly and being willing to move forward, not fearing what is ahead, takes you to a greater place than you would have ever known had you stayed stuck on road, unable to move forward.
Be bold friends on the road less traveled and see what change life has in store for you.

Hope you are well and everything is going to turn out great. Something must be in the air – a blogger friend of mine was just left by her husband and her life is going in other directions as well.
Sending a hug from NY 🙂

Thanks! All is well on the prairie but this came from me today because I had an in person conversation with someone I know about life changes. Then I received an email from a reader of this blog about some tough times she is having. Keeping it real is important to me!

Greta post – so many things (both good and bad) have happened in our lives to make us who we are today – it is nice to look back sometimes and see just how far we have come.

Very inspirational post Katie! Heartfelt, honest and something I think we all need to think about.
If we don’t take risks or do something different, nothing will change.
Failure is an important part of living and succeeding, it’s just hard to go through at the time. Support systems of family, friends and professionals are there for a reason and we need to let them to their job … encourage us, help us see the big picture and lift us back up!
Thank You for the reminder, Katie!

LOVED this post! It’s one that I wish everyone – young and old could/would see. The road less travelled is narrow for a reason. I believe when it gets tough, though, God places the diner with neon lights just around the bend which gives us the boost we need to get refueled and keep going.

I keep telling myself that a challenging road makes the end result even sweeter!

GREAT blog! I’m fixing to embark on that journey myself & have decided, every time I start to worry, to remember that whatever I do….as long as I am doing what is good & best for my God & my family…the Good Lord will work out the details I’m worrying about. GOD bless you!

The road less traveled is such a grand road when you look back, but it is kind of scary as you look ahead into the unknown. Taking a buddy along with you via person, phone, or other form of technology is a GOOD thing!
