Wordless Wednesday: North Dakota Summer

Filed Under: Life in North Dakota Tagged With: North Dakota, prairie, prairie life, rural life 10 Comments

Below is a link up for you to share your Wordless or Wordy Wednesday. I am sure you have at least a photo or two to share after the long holiday weekend. When I went through our photos to decide on which and what to share they all seem to have a common thread that simply said, “Now this is a North Dakota summer to me.”
With a late Spring, I think we have waited extra long for the past week’s weather. July so far on the North Dakota prairie has been welcomely warm, sunny and stunningly beautiful…
just in time for “tadpole” swimming lessons…

 sun-block wearing…
 baseball hitting…
 right-field playing…
closing the chapter on life with a Nuk in our house…
 sprinkler running…and perfect weather for…
a rancher, two honey bee farmers, a science teacher, a physical therapist, an electrical linesman and a lumberman to shoot off fireworks on the prairie.
What’s a favorite fun moment of your July so far?
Link up and share your Wordless or Wordy Wednesday posts. It is a blog hop and you can add the below code to your blog. Please link back to this blog. If you are a new follower please let me know and I’ll be over to follow and visit son. I was pretty much under a rock in June, buried in family and work commitments. Since then, I’m having fun spending a little time catching back to reading many of your blogs again. It’s a blast connecting with each of you. Thank you! Now please link up and be sure to visit a few others linked up below.

Love the photos, Katie!! I especially like the one of the girls at the beginning of the blog. So cute- love the lighting!! I have photos of the boys like that when they were little all lined up along the edge of the pool and they were so tan with dark hair and everyone else was pale and blonde. Love your blog- I just don’t tell you that enough. Look for it every day!! 🙂

    Happy summer…R and “boys”

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
