My March marathon is over. Late this afternoon Nathan and all three kids picked me up on at our airport on the prairie. It completed my most grueling, challenging yet rewarding business whirlwind of my career. I am too exhausted to go into detail right now but let’s just say I have never been more grateful to be home in my bed than I am tonight. Yes I am literally in bed typing. I have pictures from last weekend that I still wanted to share with you so that is the purpose of tonight’s blogging. However tomorrow Anika is nine months old and we’ll have pictures to share of she and her hop-hop and her monthly update as well as other fun musings of prairie life. Now that I am actually home to return to prairie life!
Nathan is the most amazing daddy on earth in my very strong opinion. And this picture will bring a smile to my face, forever.
Anika looks like her daddy!
Waitressing paid a lot of my bills in my early 20’s so I was teaching E last Saturday night my best waitressing skills as she served Mayme’s homemade berry shortcake.
She definitely has a future as a waitress.
Then Grandpa Fred and Mayme were cleaning up the kitchen while the girls were getting ready for bed. And someone decided to start feeding Elissa whipped cream for a bedtime snack much to her delight.
Grandpa Fred wasn’t apologizing.
He let her clean out the bowl.
While Hunter played basketball last weekend,
Elizabeth asked to stay and play at Grandma Nola’s house. Things are moved around the house right now as you can see. Grandma and Grandpa are having painting done.
Playtime led to Miss E getting her first lesson in how to hold a (play) gun from Uncle Jim. Only on the farm does a two year old girl get gun lessons.
E also found Hunter’s longtime Lego’s that he has always kept in Grandma Nola’s living room. She found a spot on the stairway to play with them and soon was serving us Lego cookies she made.
I took so many pictures last weekend that I didn’t want to miss out on posting these. Tomorrow it will be new pictures and some summary of our stable and happy chaos.
