During the work week, we delicately balance a hectic work life with an important but busy family life.
Our family is our top priority. But both Nathan and I are committed to our work also.
I work from home when I do not have business travel which has been extensive lately. However I love my home office life and the flexibility it provides me. I could not go back to a daily office grind, commuting or the office chatter. And the best advantage to a home office is…
on a weekday like yesterday afternoon when the girls came home at lunch from daycare with Nathan and took naps while I worked.
Anika didn’t sleep as long as I had hoped but she was my content office buddy.
First in my lap.
Then with her toys and her best friend, a green nuk.
Then while I was on two separate conference calls, she just scooted all around the office playing with the mat and toys I set out for her.
It was the perfect ending to a work week, having the best office mate I could ask for and reminding why I love the work life balance we are blessed to have.
