We road tripped north to my family farm this weekend. Nathan went home last night to work this week while I stayed at the farm with “the girls”. This morning we walked to have oatmeal for breakfast with (Great!) Grandma Nola. Elissa loves to play and explore in Gma’s big farm house. Gma Nola got to cuddle with Anika.
Anika says “Happy Monday! I slept four hours last night, ate quickly at 3:30AM and then slept another three hours, ate and filled my pants and slept for another three hours. Yes eating and sleeping is what I do best. But I am now awake more during the day with my eyes open, content and peaceful.”
My mom is in the house very busy making sixteen homemade pies for our annual farm tour tomorrow. The company I work for brings employees for a crop tour. My dad lines up several speakers and the group tours many fields of crops. At the end of the educational tour, everyone comes in my parent’s house for pie and coffee. I, of course am documenting the pie making today through my camera and video and learning from my mom. We are keeping Busy Bits (Elissa) out of the kitchen as much as possible which is easier with new kittens on the deck. We might NEED this kitty at our house Daddy. Please? Or as E says “Pleezb?”
