Riding her “bike” at about 7:15AM on the deck. Dressed and ready for the day. Busy Bits has slept in past 7AM a few times now in her life and to 8:15AM twice this month. But most mornings she has finished breakfast before 7AM and is ready to tackle the day.

A rainy day, coat and hat on and going down the stairs to ask Hunter to take her to the park. Her hat says “I’m the little sister” on it. Still a little sister to Hunter and knows how to get her way with him and others like Uncle Joe (she is having a lot fun at the farm this week with him!). Busy Bits politely asks for what she wants such as “Hunta, pahk plezb?” If Hunter does not instantly jump up to take her to the park within seconds Busy Bits will shout, “HUNTA, NOW! PAHK NOW.” She demands action…now. Where she gets it? Both Nathan and I are at a loss to know.

Busy Bits in Anika’s infant seat. She also loves getting into the infant baby swing and riding in it like the swings at the park. Of course she is much past the weight limit but it seems to be holding up so far. Her baby doll rides in the swing too.

Those blue eyes melt us. They twinkle, sparkle and glimmer. They also look as if they are saying “Catch me if you can!”

For some reason she thinks she can talk to Mayme (her name for my mom) through my camera. I do not know why. Only Mayme and only to my camera. On this picture she kept on saying “Hi Mayme!”

Again, she is talking into the camera lens to my mom even though “Mayme” is sitting right behind her in the rocking chair. As she moved closer to me she whipped up her hand and had my lens cover in her hand and tried to put it on my camera right after this photo. Hilarious. She made her point that “Mommy (was) all done” taking pictures.

After Anika was born, Auntie Lori went shopping and sent us a box of newborn clothes for Anika. In addition to the gifts for Anika there was a pair of my favorite brand of shoes–in red patent leather. Paul Green’s. (The ABSOLUTE most comfortable shoe I have found. They are worth spending $$$ on and having less shoes!) They were new and didn’t fit Auntie Lori. So sad for her, so happy for me. Before I could try them on, who found them? Busy Bits. With her Stride Rite shoes she slipped right into them and wore them around for days. So sad for me, they were too snug but thankfully found a happy home with my mom. Busy Bits has found her love for shoes and even Paul Green’s. She organizes her shoes already into the little shoe slots in her closet system. Not all the slots are full though and she says to me often “Moh shoes, moh shoes Mama!”
