Spring fever

Sunshine leads to snow melting which leads to mud (and more flooding across the prairies of North Dakota). However sunshine also creates many smiles around our home. Elizabeth would prefer to be outside all the time. And Hunter can’t get enough baseball time. He also has had his first two sessions of the Hunter’s Safety course this week. A class named in his honor we tell him. Hunter says, “Mom it is SO BORING!” and I say “Hunter, it is the law.” Hunter replies, “Well the law is boring then.”

Daddy has been trying to keep our driveway and road from having too many huge ruts in it now that at least the water is gone from it. He brings the Bobcat home for that work…which darling daughter thought she should be a part of the other night.

Hunter better hope Mikey doesn’t read this and see what he thinks of the law! Actually, I am sure he would agree with him some of the time. 🙂

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
