Disney bound

Hunter just called from Disney World with his daily report of activities and is excited for us to arrive. I was four or five years old that last time I was at Disney World with my parents. And the last time I was there was when I was a teenager. By tomorrow night I will be there as a mother of two with my husband and parents. I am sure I will have a much different perspective now than from my past trips. Elizabeth and I will watch Hunter and Nathan go on the Tower of Terror at MGM and only venture onto “safe” rides like “It’s A Small World” at Magic Kingdom. Regardless it is the All-American family vacation and what many little kids dream of for years. Hunter started praying when he was about three years old to go to “Bisney World”. Now he is making it two years in a row. No matter where we were going both Nathan and I are ready for anything that includes the word “vacation” in it. My mom even said we can go out one night and the kids will stay back with my parents. Now that is indeed is a vacation. A night out in a different state, in a warm climate.
And not to worry, I have my camera and computer. I will post LIVE Disney fun pictures! My siblings Robbie, Kirsti and Joe are all back cramming for finals and not able to join us but someday maybe we will all get to be here together. Mom and Dad never did that when we were kids. Robbie and Kirsti went with a separate trip with Mom and Dad, leaving Joe and me behind with Grandma. And of course Baby Joe had his own trip with the parents. Oh yeah I guess I did too but those were in my peaceful, only child years.

If you see my kids wandering around with my mother in law, give them a hug from me. The 8 monthes pg woman and her husband had to stay home this time.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
