Mt. Rushmore

Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

We had the “All-American” vacation when we paid a visit to Mt. Rushmore late last week. As Nathan read from the highway sign about Mt. Rushmore “A 30 minute visit, a lifetime of memories.”
We took a road trip to visit our friends the Swenson’s who live in the Black Hills of South Dakota. After visiting Mt. Rushmore we spent the afternoon at the Rapid City water park. Nathan last visited the water park in 1985 and remembered the slides being higher. Amazing what 23 years does to a guy!
More pictures and posts to come this week.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
