Today there was a deer in our yard but I didn’t get her on camera. However we often have Angus cattle in our yard. Now I grew up with Hereford bulls tramping through the garden. I didn’t think in “town” you’d still get cattle in the yard. I guess that what happens when you live on the edge of “town”. There is a little unused red barn right next to us on our neighbor’s property that is actually outside of the city limits. I keep hinting to Nathan that it is perfect for Sheyenne, Hunter’s horse who currently resides with her best friend and care giver Grandpa Fred. Nathan scowls at this idea. But Grandma Carol is all for it.
Look closely. Come fall, Nathan will be shooting pheasant from our sliding glass door…maybe there will be a deck but regardless we will be a part of Jeff Foxworthy’s Red Neck jokes. You might be a red neck if you walk out to your porch to shoot your supper…

I have not taken a picture yet but the grass is actually mowed now. Nathan and his dad have a new piece of equipment…a riding lawn mower.
Kirsti took this picture earlier this week after some big rains passed. I always think it is sweet when we see a rainbow Hunter reminds us all that a rainbow is reminder of God’s promise to never flood the earth again.
