A couple of nights ago, Miss E and I were inside the house alone while the guys were outdoors, hauling dirt and playing baseball. E was freshly bathed, playing around the kitchen while I finished kitchen duty. She always finds her way into the pantry if the door is not completely latched. I keep dry ingredients on the lower shelves so it is okay for her to go in there and play. Boxes of crackers, pasta, etc. She was babbling to me and then came out of the pantry with a paper bag on her shoulder, waved and said “Buh Bye Mama”. One thing about Miss E, she is always going somewhere. Saying so long with her bag packed from the pantry…
Baggy pajamas (that fit nicely over the pink cast) and a paper bag on her shoulder is all she needed this time.

Stopping for a snack of…raw potato. Indeed she had found a paper sack that probably once held some potatoes in it, took the potatoes that were being stored in the wire drawer, filled the bag and was on her way. Her final destination for this trip was…the living room where she neatly unpacked the potatoes on the rocking chair, sorted them, repacked them, walked around again, saying “buh bye”, until she returned again to the wooden rocker this time with a play plate in hand to place her potatoes on while she said “moe, moe, moe” as she set each potato on the plate. Again, from yesterday’s post, who needs toys?
A pantry, a paper bag and a few potatoes make for an evening of entertainment for our dear daughter.
