Elissa was a great model for Ava’s newly designed “Cuddle Bug”. This is a superb product! Elissa took a two hour nap forward facing in it. I became the spokeswoman and sold many of them…even the one shown.

Only Grandmas let their grandchild chew on corn cobs as toys. I was worried about her choking but of course, she was just fine and VERY happy with the corn cob!

Sara and Elizabeth…we stayed at Sara’s house which was a very pretty back roads Minnesota 30 minute drive. I forgot how much I miss trees until I was driving again in rural MN.
Jill and team had strong sales for her fundraising. I was able to spend time with my three friends I have had for the longest period in my life all in one day. Sara, Liz and Jill were my play mates and best friends as young child. Every birthday and Halloween picture from birth to age 5 (when Liz and Jill moved from my home town) they are standing with me. Ava and my mom have been friends for decades and it was fun all around for us. And Sara is my most loyal true friend since I was in diapers. It was a blast to spend time all together and of course to have Miss E join us!
This might become an annual event for us. My mom and I talked on the way home yesterday about new ideas of items to sell in the Bergan Baby Boutique for continued fundraising for Jill’s adoption fund. I can’t craft or sew but I will sell sell sell and of course make purchases! I will post more pictures tonight of Elissa and Sara’s son Sam who became friends this weekend.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
