Leap Day Region Qualifier Basketball Game

Filed Under: Life in North Dakota Tagged With: prairie life, small town sports Leave a Comment

Thanks to Leap Day, we get an extra day. You can make it all you want it to be. For us, we are going to cheer louder and support our favorite boys basketball team in their region qualifier game.

Our winter has been full of basketball in between so many other happenings. I haven’t been sharing my weekly columns as regularly as I would like. I have not been sharing every day pictures of the WARM, February prairie. But once the high school journey ends for our son, my time will open up more I know. We are three months from high school graduation I realized yesterday. I cannot dwell on it too much. Three months ago, we were starting basketball season.

This season of life is full, richly rewarding and we are loving the life we get to live.

For family and friends who cannot sit by us in the bleachers at 4 p.m. this afternoon for the basketball game. You can find it on BEK Sports, statewide in North Dakota. Check your local listings. Or KSJB radio 600 AM. It’s online and I have used their app before to listen. Cheer on the Mustangs to a strong team performance…and WIN.

A few pictures from our winter of basketball…

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
