Friday Fences with prairie horses

Filed Under: Life in North Dakota Tagged With: prairie life 11 Comments

I spend hours each week driving across the prairie. I am known by my carpool friend, Amanda for pulling over to take pictures. It’s routine scenery for those of us who live on the North Dakota prairie but I recognize its beauty and uniqueness.

These horses have been the subject to few photos stops over the past few weeks. The horses turn their backs on me and go about enjoying their green pastures.

This weekend we going to sneak away for 48 hours of quiet camping time on the prairie and maybe catch a few walleyes. The girls and I also have a craft project planned that we’ll show off next week.

What are you doing to kick off a new summer month?

Linking up with Friday Fences #35. Enjoy the day!

Dedicated photographers always pull over to the side of the road when there’s something worth photographing!

You have a beautiful state. My favorite cousin is visiting there this week. Enjoying her Facebook pics. None as good as your first one though.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
