Our Christmas Faith & Hope

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: Christian, faith, family, holidays 3 Comments

Christmas is full of family time for us today. It’s an exceptionally happy, fun loving and an easy going day. I haven’t always been so overwhelmed with joy each Christmas as I am this year. I know I have friends that are struggling with loneliness and loss today. When I look back at Christmas time in my past I felt those lost moments and struggles as well. But it’s a day like today that brings life’s journey full circle for me, to remind me how fortunate we are. We are fed. We have a deep faith. We are family.

We are joyous. We are full of hope.

We laugh and cry together. We celebrate. We remember the true meaning of Christmas is in remembering God sending his Son to be born, to walk this earth, to teach, to live by example, to die on the cross to forgive our sins, to give us eternal life, to give us hope, joy and peace to spread and share.
Far beyond the materialism of the holiday season, far greater than my children’s hope and belief in Santa Claus, Christmas gives me hope and peace today because of our faith. I believe. Together we celebrate all that is and is to come.

Merry Christmas from our family to you! Wishing you a joyous celebration and God’s peace and hope.

“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
