WW w/ linky: In the chaos I forget…

Filed Under: Misc. Tagged With: wordless Wednesday 8 Comments

It’s Wordless or Wordy Wednesday. I’ll keep it short today as I’m in need of quick sleep before an early morning breakfast meeting and then a short panel presentation…on two of my favorite topics farming and food. I’m in the midst of a 48 hour work trip. It’s chaotic these days with a very jammed packed 14 year old’s school, music, drama and next week…basketball schedule, a husband trying to get numerous fall work projects going before snow flies and this little thing I call I career. Add in two very excited toddler daughters who celebrate each and every day with zest and vigor. I feel rather aimless most days. But in the midst of the chaos I capture moments on my camera that remind me to pause…

and I remember that even the uneasy chaos I feel at times is full of daily rewards. Happy kids, happy times. We carved these pumpkins 10 days ago ahead of Halloween but in looking at the faces of the kids, I couldn’t miss sharing them. I need to work to find joy in the simplest of moments and these captures reminded me of just that.

I visit 5 right away in the morning and then work my way through the list throughout the week. My schedule isn’t always working to read blogs daily but don’t give up on me!

“But in the midst of the chaos I capture moments on my camera that remind me to pause…”

    Beautifully said my friend.

You are doing a wonderful job capturing these fleeting moments in spite of the busyness of life.

    Bravo.

Great moments captured. Love all your shots, but the head in the pumpkin takes the cake. Too funny.

It looks like your kids had a lot of fun. Isn’t it fun having a teen and toddlers at the same time. Thank goodness my daughter likes cheering for her brothers football team.

BTW, I love the one with her head in the pumpkin. That was priceless.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
