WW w/ linky: North Dakota Fall Favorites

Filed Under: Life in North Dakota Tagged With: North Dakota, wordless Wednesday 12 Comments

Fall is for football that has come to a close,
for a plentiful harvest that is complete,
 for fleece jackets and hats,

 for a full moon,
and for fabulous fun with a cousin friend at the farm.
Wednesday nights are “Library nights” for the girls. But tonight over our family supper we decided tomorrow night we are bringing back an old tradition Hunter and I had in the fall. Cut-out cookie baking. The above picture was taken 3 years ago. It might be a little more interactive with Miss A and Miss E helping us. First, Daddy is taking the girls to the library while Hunter and I get the cookies started. The girls will enjoy the decorating the most anyway. It going to be a fun fall evening.
In two months…Christmas is complete. I know, crazy to think. Therefore I am trying to relish in the moment, in each day and love these days work days, weekends and evenings with my kids. It just seems to be going faster and faster. I can’t find a pause button so I am going to keep up and enjoy. Once in awhile I fold laundry too.

What are you doing to enjoy the moments of Fall?

Link up your Wordy or Wordless Wednesday below and be sure to hop over to visit a few fun blogs linked up today. I’ll be by to visit you soon also. Happy WW!

Excellent photos – I’m glad that some families take full advantage of all that Fall has to offer, I tend to let it creep up on me and sneak on past and then wish that I had taken the time to enjoy it.

WOW, what a difference 3 years can make on a growing boy! Hunter looks so young.

Have fun baking cookies and decorating them with the girls.

You reminded me that I received holiday cookie cutters (including Halloween) for Christmas. I think we will bake cookies on this blustery day.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
