Your Favorite Pioneer Woman Recipe Linky Party

Filed Under: Recipes Tagged With: Pioneer Woman, recipes, Ree Drummond 14 Comments

What’s your favorite recipe of The Pioneer Woman’s? Share it on your blog and link up today below because we’re having a party right here. Why? Because tomorrow is Food Network’s debut of The Pioneer Woman’s television show. If you’re like me, you might read The Pioneer Woman’s blog, have her cookbook or her Black Heels to Tractor Wheels novel or her children’s book. Or you might not but if you don’t do any of the above you are about to be linked to some fantastic recipes.
Like this Whiskey Maple Cream Sauce which like all Pioneer Woman’s recipes is purely divine but never low calorie…

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 5 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
  • 3 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Whiskey (can Add More If Desired)
Last Thanksgiving early in the morning, I made two pecan pies while my gourmet cooking sister-in-law Dr. Lori started on our much anticipated Whiskey Maple Cream Sauce from the Pioneer Woman.
Preparation instructions via Pioneer Woman’s recipe: Combine cream, maple syrup, and corn syrup in a saucepan and stir to combine. Cook over medium-low to medium heat, stirring constantly, for 15 minutes or until sauce is reduced and thick (sauce should bubble slightly as it’s cooking.)
When sauce is thick, remove from heat and stir in whiskey. Dr. Lori added our much anticipated Kentucky bourbon, Maker’s Mark, which we drove through a snow storm the night before Thanksgiving to buy for the recipe.
Return to heat for a couple of minutes, stirring constantly. Pour into a container and refrigerate until completely chilled. Stir before serving.
After tasting the final product we joked we were pouring it all over our entire plates of Thanksgiving dinner. It was purely perfect. Our holidays will never be the same thanks to Pioneer Woman. Actually my husband attributes most of my improved cooking to Pioneer Woman. Ever since I cooked my way through her cookbook, our family meals hugely improved and hips may have become huge too. But I’ve learned I can burn off calories and enjoy just about any favorite foods…in small doses.
What’s your favorite Pioneer Woman recipe? Link up with your blog post of a favorite Pioneer Woman recipe throughout the next few days in the below linky party. Let’s have fun watching the Food Network’s debut of a cooking show straight from an Oklahoma ranch on Saturday morning at 10:30AM CST. Anyone who links up or comments with your favorite Pioneer Woman recipe (plenty of choices on her blog) you’re automatically entered for a surprise Pioneer Woman themed giveaway next week.
If you’re on Twitter, I’ll be using the hashtag #ruralwomenrock when I watch the show so feel free to connect there during the show on the weekend.

I’m so excited to link up and excited that I’m on the West Coast and get to comment first! Maybe I will make the cream sauce to go over the Monkey Bread that Amy Gore is bringing over Saturday for our PW Debut party! Woo Hoo.
Check out my PW favorite at http://www.jakeandcolleen.blogspot.com.

    Thanks Katie!

I am counting down to Saturday morning! I enjoy many of Ree’s recipes but the one that comes to mind first is her Best Basic Brownie recipe because it’s made from scratch, it’s easy and it helped my 6 year old win a first place ribbon at our county fair! Here it is, enjoy!

    Thanks Katie!

I simply ADORE Ree and her Oklahoma ranch lifestyle. I’ve been following her blog for several years – back when she won her FIRST blog award. It’s been so fun watching her popularity grow by leaps and bounds! So looking forward to seeing her on the Food Network and seeing some of those recipes done up close and personal!

Love the cin rolls – which can also be made into Parker House rolls – but my all time fave variation is the chocolate chip cookie sweet rolls…esp when I run out of milk and use the chocolate caramel creamer in the icing instead! 🙂

I’m so bad with the linkys. I linked to Pioneer Woman’s Perfect Pound Cake since I don’t have a recipe on my blog, but it is by far my favorite of her recipes and a hit for making choo choo cake for a toddler.

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
