Low fat, easy and quick meals are ideal on a busy night for us. Plus I like to use ingredients I have on hand. I’m starting to get creative. Last night, I had a toddler who “helped” me quickly pull together a chicken bake using “Heart Healthy” Bisquick as a crust, barbeque sauce, chicken, mushrooms, green onion, spinach and mozzarella cheese.
From start to finish including baking time this took 30 minutes to make. And the best part was it was yummy and low fat.
To start, preheat your oven to 375F.
Then round up your kids as best you can if they are in the kitchen with you. I’ve had a few moms ask what that “structure” is my kids stand on in the kitchen. It’s The Learning Tower. You can search around to few web sites to find a lower price. I paid $55 less than listed on Amazon and received free shipping for it a couple years ago.
While I cook, the kids do to…in their own way. Anika yesterday dumped spinach into the mixing bowl where the Bisquick previously was.
