Video of Mother’s Day Piano Recital

Filed Under: Family Values Tagged With: family, holidays 11 Comments

This afternoon, our teenager had a piano recital in a local church. The video is 3 minutes and 30 seconds in length. You will hear him play Better Is One Day, which I have showed on the blog before and he made a few tiny mistakes that he would prefer you didn’t hear. But, after the first song, he played Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Nightmusic) with his piano teacher, Mrs. Erbele. It is a Mozart piece and the arrangement was fantastic. It was a joy to hear, especially on Mother’s Day with both sets of grandparents and Nathan’s sister, Lori, a much accomplished pianist there to enjoy with us.
Happy Mother’s Day to each and every mother that has touched my life and read this blog.
Do you remember childhood recitals? What did you play?

He seems like a very talented and well rounded young man. He did a fantastic job in this video. I took piano lessons for a number of years and remember those recitals. They always made me want to throw up :/

I have so many memories of childhood piano recitals! In our house–my parents had a rule…all the kids had to take 6 years of piano lessons and I am so grateful for this rule! The piano is a GREAT skill! My little boy WILL BE TAKING lessons when he is old enough to begin!

    GREAT piano playing!

Welcome to the Prairie…

I am a mom of three kids and a wife to Nathan. Together we live on the North Dakota prairie, 97 miles from a Starbuck's. I share about family, food, farming and the prairie that I love. I used to commute 98 miles one-way to work but it required too much coffee. So now I am home, consulting, speaking, writing and primarily, juggling family life.
